After the Crowd

After the Crowd explores the lifeless atmosphere of the city during the COVID period, when public spaces were emptied of people, movement, and routine. Using an aluminium wire figure placed in different urban locations, the project reflects on how absence can change the feeling of a place.

The figure acts like a trace of human presence - fragile, ghost-like, and disconnected from its surroundings. In some images, the empty city feels calm and still; in others, it becomes eerie and unsettling. Through this contrast, the project looks at how everyday routines such as walking, waiting, commuting, and gathering give the city its rhythm, even when those patterns are not always visible.

After the Crowd presents isolation as both a personal and environmental experience, showing what remains when the usual signs of human activity come to a stop.
