Unlimited Steeze

Unlimited Steeze is a Japanese magazine-inspired visual design project created in collaboration with photographer @manuel.art7. The piece began as an experimental Photoshop composition, using Manuel’s photography as the foundation for a bold editorial-style cover that combines fashion, street culture, graffiti textures, and layered visual storytelling.

The design takes inspiration from the busy, high-energy layouts often seen in Japanese print magazines, where typography, image framing, stickers, symbols, and small graphic details work together to create a sense of movement and personality. I wanted the cover to feel loud, playful, and slightly chaotic, while still keeping the main subject and visual hierarchy clear. To achieve this, I used a mix of cut-out photography, hand-drawn marks, distressed borders, faux magazine elements, Japanese-inspired text, barcode details, and vibrant colour overlays.

A key part of the project was experimenting with how far I could push the composition without losing balance. I focused on building a layered design system where every element felt intentional, from the rough photo frames and tape details to the small editorial captions and graphic icons. The final outcome captures a retro streetwear aesthetic while adding my own visual language through texture, colour, and digital collage.

After completing the main poster design in Photoshop, I expanded the project further by creating additional presentation assets in Blender, including a 3D magazine mock-up. I also designed retro Windows XP-style tabs to showcase the photography in a more interactive and nostalgic way. This helped turn the project from a single poster into a fuller visual identity and presentation concept.

Overall, Unlimited Steeze allowed me to explore editorial design, digital collage, art direction, and 3D presentation techniques. It reflects my interest in combining different media and aesthetics to create work that feels energetic, culture-driven, and visually immersive.
